HELLO, I AM GAVINO.
I am a Northern New Mexico Photographer taking over the state!
.
Why I do What I do?
Reason 1: Growing up my Grandma collected candid photographs, school photographs, baseball pictures, school event brochures, church bulletins - basically if my picture or name was in it/on it she had it. When I got older she gifted me my baby books with all my memorabilia that she collected through my life.
I am thirty three and those photo albums are my favorite things in the whole world. They have moved from college, to my apartment to my other apartment and now my home. My grandmother has since passed. Having these albums really helps me feel close to her connect - it makes me feel her love. I hope my photographs find their way into albums like mine.
Reason 2: I am born and raised in The Land of Enchantment. Most dream of the day they can move away, not me. NM is unique - it’s beautiful. My love started growing up my Nino and Nina traveled around NM to hunt or do last minute trips before the school year. I tagged along and got to visit places like Chama, Red River, Jemez, Ruidoso and Angel Fire. The beauty! Each place a muse. There is beauty in each town you pass - you just have to know where to look. I love being able to mix my love for New Mexico Scenery and my passion for photography. Seeing a piece of place I find beautiful in my photography feel like I’m a little apart of the session - like a signature.
Little More About Me…
When I am not behind the camera I am a family man and a doggy dad. I have a Shi - Poo (Grayson Lee) and yes he has a human name! Don’t judge me till you see them in clothes. Aside from my pup - I am a foodie. Constantly searching Tik Tok or Instagram for food suggestions for my partner and I to explore..
I was born and raised in Los Lunas, NM. Moved a little north a year ago. I currently live in Espanola, NM where I manage a local restaurant. Small town are just where it is at. Graduated in Los Lunas from Valencia High School in 2012. Shortly after began my career in medical administration moving from UNMH to Presbyterian.
